Returns & Exchanges Policy

We want you to feel confident in every piece you choose. If something isn’t quite right, we’re happy to offer exchanges or store credit under the terms below.

Eligibility Window

Our exchange policy is valid for up to 30 days from the date of purchase.

For online orders, this begins from the date your parcel was delivered.
For in-store purchases, it begins from the date of purchase.

Order cancellations must be requested within 24 hours of purchase.

These are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or cancelled.


How to Return

Returns can be made in-store or online.

If posting your return, we recommend using a trackable service, as Alana Maria Jewellery is not responsible for items lost in transit.



Warranty & Repairs

Jewellery, including Gold Filled, Sterling Silver and Vermeil, purchased from Alana Maria Jewellery includes a 6-month warranty from the date of purchase. 

All Solid Gold purchases include a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase. 

During this period, items that are assessed and deemed to have a manufacturing fault will be repaired or restored at no cost.

Warranty coverage is determined by our team upon assessment. If the product is deemed unacceptable or not in perfect condition, it will be returned to the customer.


Warranty Eligibility

To submit a warranty claim, customers must provide:

  • Proof of purchase

  • A description of the issue

  • A photograph of the item for online submissions

If proof of purchase cannot be provided and the original purchase date cannot be verified, the repair will be treated as out of warranty.

This policy operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.


What Is Not Covered

Our warranty does not cover:

  • Accidental damage or breakage

  • General wear over time

  • Tarnishing due to exposure to chemicals, including perfumes, lotions, chlorine, or cleaning agents

  • Loss of jewellery 

  • Gradual fading of colour or finish

  • Misshaping due to excessive force or bending

  • Work completed by third parties

The warranty does not include replacement, exchange, or refund for items affected by normal wear or failure to follow care guidelines. 


Repairs Outside of Warranty

We offer an ongoing repair service to help extend the lifespan of your jewellery.

A $20 service fee applies to all repairs outside of the warranty period. This includes:

  • Items that fall outside of warranty coverage

  • Items where proof of purchase cannot be verified

This fee covers inspection, handling, administration, and processing.

If replacement components are required, additional charges may apply. Our Customer Service team will always contact you for approval before proceeding.


Component & Repair Costs

Where applicable:

  • Replacement components or charms are charged at their RRP

  • Restringing services may incur additional charges depending on the piece

All costs are confirmed prior to repair.


AMJ Forever Bracelets & Anklets

Our AMJ Forever pieces are covered by the same warranty terms as our standard pieces. Gold-filled and Sterling Silver forever pieces purchased from Alana Maria Jewellery include a 6-month warranty from the date of purchase. All Solid Gold Forever bracelets include a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase. 

If your piece breaks during the warranty period, you may book an appointment to have it re-welded at no cost, subject to assessment.

After the warranty period, breakage is considered general wear. If a Forever piece is lost outside of the warranty period, a replacement can be purchased.

A $20 service fee will apply to assessment and repair, with any additional adjustments discussed in advance. For any Forever bracelet lost outside of the warranty period, the customer will need to pay for a replacement if they wish to have one.

For added durability, you can have your piece converted to include a clasp. Forever pieces may also be returned through our recycling program. 

Warehouse Sale Items

All warehouse sale purchases are final sale and are not covered under our standard 6-month warranty.

Bespoke Care & Warranty Policy

At Alana Maria, we take pride in the craftsmanship and quality of our bespoke products. To ensure your lasting satisfaction, we provide a comprehensive Lifetime Warranty for our bespoke pieces, safeguarding against and manufacturing defects.

However, any general wear and tear of the piece is not covered in the lifetime warranty. This includes:

  • Chips and Breakages: Accidental damages to gemstones.

  • Scratches: Normal wear and tear, including scratches on metal from everyday activities.

  • Chemical Exposure: Damage resulting from exposure to corrosive chemicals.

  • Prong Issues from accidents: Damage caused by prongs getting caught or bent allowing stones to fall out.

Warranty Void Conditions:

The warranty becomes void if any other jeweller works on the piece. We strongly recommend returning to Alana Maria for any resizing or alterations.

Complimentary Services:

For Bespoke and Engagement rings, we offer free cleaning and polishing every 8-12 months. This service includes checking settings to ensure stones are secure.

Insurance Recommendation:

Alana Maria recommends securing insurance for engagement rings to cover accidental damages beyond our warranty.

Returns & Final Sale Policy

Due to the custom-made nature of our Bespoke by Alana Maria range, we do not offer returns or exchanges on bespoke pieces unless the item is deemed faulty under our Lifetime Warranty. Each bespoke piece is individually crafted to order, and we strongly encourage you to be thorough and confident in your design choices before proceeding with your purchase.

All bespoke items are non refundable, once your order has been placed online it is confirmed and no refund will be offered under any circumstances. If you have any questions or concerns about a purchasing one of our rings please reach out to bespoke@alanamariajewellery.com.

Return Shipping Responsibility:

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs for repairs or servicing. International clients should retain import documentation for duty and tax exemptions on return.

Resizing Information:

For Bespoke purchases, please select your size carefully, as resizing incurs a fee and is quoted case by case.

Engagement rings are an exception and qualify for one complimentary resize; additional resizes will be charged and quoted individually.
